History
Lloyd's Construction Services started on March 17th, 1983. Jim and John Lloyd saw a need for a service that could do new home construction clean-ups at a quoted price. As operations grew, Merry Lloyd, Jim's wife, and Stephanie Lloyd, John's wife, also became involved in the business by helping to run the office and fulfill management duties. In 1990 the company expanded into the roll-off business, selective demolition, and the demolition of small buildings. Then, in 1992, Lloyd's found the need to open a transfer station in order to fully utilize our waste hauling operation. The company experienced tremendous growth and in 2000 expanded its services to include earthwork. Lloyd's Construction Services has succeeded in positioning itself to be a dominant force in the industry, and is prepared to continue to grow and meeting the challenges of the marketplace.

Our nationally recognized safety program has received numerous awards over the years, including the Associated Builders and Contractors STEP Platinum Level award and the Associated General

Each quarter, one company is chosen to receive this awarded based on their safety awareness on the job and also the following criteria: proactive in preventing employee injuries, extremely effective in controlling a particular hazard or group of hazards, extraordinarily creative and unique, and above and beyond what is expected. Lloyd’s consistently invites guest speakers to come to our offices from a wide range of companies to keep our employees up to date on the most recent safety practices and what they can do to improve their own safety awareness as well as for the company as a whole. In addition to this, Lloyd’s Construction Services, Inc. annually holds its Safety Day, a required event for all employees so that they are able to receive proper training on all equipment used , fit tests for respirators, the most recent safety manual, listen to guest speakers, and much more, all on a yearly basis. This event is put together in collaboration with our Safety Manager and the rest of our Safety
Committee. Each division of the company is represented by at least one employee who meet on a regular basis with one another to discuss and find new ways to keep safety the number one priority. We find it important to keep our employees safe, others on the project safe, and anyone else who comes into contact with our company. It is a process that requires much time and effort to maintain and maintain a positively recognized one such as ours at that. Here at LCS, it is crucial that all employees remain continuously educated on safety awareness and bring these practices to the job site. So, in addition to our professional service and our positive attitude towards preserving our environment, you can rely on a safety conscious crew to arrive at your project, no matter which division is involved.
